The “Notification Sounds” feature is a favourite among our users. Most drivers turn Notification Sounds on and then leave Incidenta open on their tablet or phone. When something new pops up on Incidenta, a “ping” sound is emitted from your device. This means that you won’t have to always be staring at a screen in order to know about the latest accidents.
Easily toggle notification sounds on/off by clicking the speaker icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the map view screen.
When the icon is blue, notification sounds are turned on.
When the icon is grey with a slash through it, notification sounds are turned off.
In order for Notification Sounds to work for you, the following conditions must be met:
Incidenta must be open on your device (the active app).
Your device must NOT be asleep.
The volume (not ringer volume) on your device must be loud enough that you may hear it.
