How do I add Incidenta to my homescreen?

We highly recommend adding Incidenta to your homescreen. Bookmarking a web application to your homescreen offers a more seamless, app-like experience. It opens in full screen, eliminating the browser bar and back button, providing a cleaner, more immersive interface. This setup allows for quicker, one-tap access, reduces distractions by keeping the app separate from regular browsing, and helps you stay organized with everything in one place.

IOS - Chrome Web Browser

  1. Open Chrome and navigate to https://app.incidenta.org.

  2. Login to your account.

  3. Go to either the list view or map view page (whichever you want to open when you launch Incidenta).

  4. Tap the share button in the top right hand corner where the URL is.

5. Scroll down and choose Add to Home Screen.

6. Name the icon on the Add to Home window and tap "Add".

7. Chrome will minimize and you’ll see the new icon next to all your other app icons.

IOS - Safari Web Browser

  1. Open Safari and navigate to https://app.incidenta.org.

  2. Login to your account.

  3. Go to either the list view or map view page (whichever you want to open when you launch Incidenta).

  4. Tap the share button from the middle of the bottom menu.

5. Scroll down and choose Add to Home Screen.

6. Name the icon on the Add to Home window and tap "Add".

7. Safari will minimize and you’ll see the new icon next to all your other app icons.

Android - Google Chrome for Mobile

  1. Open Google Chrome and navigate to https://app.incidenta.org.

  2. Go to either the list view or map view page (whichever you want to open when you launch Incidenta).

  3. Tap the menu button. The look of the menu button will depend on your device; usually it’s an app button that looks like three horizontal lines stacked on each other, or it could be accessed through a hardware button on your phone.

  4. Tap “Add

To Homescreen”. Done! A shortcut to the website will be added to your home screen.
