How to use Incidenta's list view and its benefits

The list view shows you the incidents around you one below the other and in descending order from the most recent. Put simply, the newest incidents on the top and the older ones on the bottom.

When a new incident is found, it gets added to the top of the list and if you have notification sounds on, a notification sound will be emitted.

As a driver, I would want to leave the list view open on a device with notification sounds on. When a new incident is found, I hear the notification sound and I look to the top of the list view. If the incident is of interest to me, I’ll tap on that incident to view more details.

The Active tab on list view shows you only the incidents that meet your filter criteria that have not been cleared. For example, if you made these filter adjustments:

  • Only show Collisions and Accidents

  • Monitoring radius is 5 km

  • Only show incidents being reported live and up to 10 minutes ago

Then this means all incidents that meet these three criteria points will show in your Active tab.

The All tab will show all of your filtered posts and those that have been cleared (grey markers).
